California Sunshine here we come!

For Thanksgiving we took a road trip to California to visit our families, but we had a really fun time on the way. This picture is at 3 am in the morning. We had spent the weekend in Utah and then we wanted to get an early start so we could get home. Here we are getting started. Sarah and I got to sleep first while the boys drove and then the girls drove while the boys slept.
Kevin wanted to document the whole trip.
We stopped in Vegas so Sarah could see it up close. But after Vegas we kept on, we wanted to make it back to Rexburg by night time, we missed home. But right before Beaver we ran out of gas. Sarah and I woke up to seth going over the bumps on the freeway. He went into the emergency lane so that we could coast as far as we could. After a while we couldn't even coast. So Kevin and I got out to push. Finally after some time of pushing Armando and Roberto pulled over to help us. They asked us if we needed any help and Seth was a little to quick to say yes. So Seth and I jumped in the car with these random men, and I was sure that I would never see Kevin and Sarah again haha. But lucky Armando and Roberto were good guys and they did bring us back to our car, but not before they yelled at Seth for running out of gas with two pretty ladies in the car. It was very memorable. Never a dull moment with Seth.

Winter has arrived!

Sledding is a favorite past time since the snow has started to fall. Every time we go we (actually I ) get hurt. I can't seem to stay on my sled. I have gotten better since I started but this particular time I could not keep on my sled to save my life. But hey I live in Idaho so it is time that learn how to play in the snow.

Road Trip

When the weather was still nice, Haha can you tell that I am a little behind? the group took a trip to Jackson Hole Wyoming. We all packed up on a Saturday morning and took off. We spent the entire day shopping, sight seeing, eating and taking pictures.

We had a big group. Here we all are with Big Foot.

The girls under the antler arch. It was the coolest part of the town. It reminded me of a winter Stars Hallow, which is the town in Gilmore Girls. And these hats were way to cool!

Can we keep her?

The other day there was a knock on our door, when we opened it there was a puppy standing at our door. A friends dad stopped by our apartment with a puppy. He thought it would be fun for us. And let me tell you it was fun for awhile but we called her Marly. She was a terror. Pooped and peed all over our living room. Thankfully we had Haley's carpet cleaner. It definitely made our night interesting. But she is still adorable.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

On our way to sonic for corn dogs.
The Sexy Man Hunters (Mallory and B)
Seth the Artist
Incense.
The group watching a scary movie.
I know these are late but here are the pictures from Halloween! It was a very fun weekend.

MORE SNOW

So I know that this is my second snow post but this snow fall was a lot more fun. First of all it was a total surprise to me when I woke up. And second there was a lot more snow. I love the snow. My roommates I am sure think I am crazy. Oh and a side note I could find no one who wanted to play in it with me. So yes I really did play in it by myself. Sadly it was all gone by the time night came. But it was a very happy white Friday. And I am positive it will be back soon enough.

The BIG Jud

There is this place in near Rexburg called Big Juds. So for our Family Home Evening a few weeks ago we decided to take a trip there. The previous picture is of my FHE group. But on the first picture is the picture of my Big Jud. Now that is not a small plate, the patty alone on the burger alone is one pound. And me being the crazy I am thought I could eat it all. HAHAHA! Ya right! I ate half of it, and that was still way to much. But I had leftovers for lunch for the next two days.

Believe It Or Not

It snowed in Rexburg in October! It was my first snow ever but I handled it like a natural. And being the California girl that I am I totally thought I was going to die because of the cold but I am handling the cold a lot better than I expected. So it was not a lot of snow but it was still snow!

Potato Sack Injury

So I have always been a clutz. I am always hurting myself in one way or the other so to most people this wont be a huge surprise. Last Tuesday afternoon we had some games at BYUI for all the new freshman, well I was in the potato sack race. And lets just say I am not a pro at getting out of the potato sack. When I went to get out I rolled my ankle really bad. But I do think that it is very fitting that I hurt myself in Idaho in a Potato sack. haha. So you cant really tell from the picture but my ankle is about 3 times the size of normal! Oh but we did win the race!!!

Rexburg or Bust!!!!

Okay so I have been at BYUI for a little over a week but this is all the stuff that i brought with me. Can you believe I made it all fit?!

We Love Our Dad

Okay so I have been MIA lately and I'm sorry.  Life has been just a little crazy but I am almost positive that you understand.  So lets think back to father's day.  My dad is the most difficult man to buy gifts for.  So usually I just get him something that will make him laugh.  So this year we got him an onion. We found this huge onion at the Apple Shed at the beach.  He loved it and we ended up grilling it up for dinner.  We also got him a few movies that we didn't have.  Overall I think he had a really good day.  We love you dad!

Morro Bay

Yesterday we went to Morro Bay to go and have lunch with a missionary who was in our month a couple of months ago, Elder Karlsson.  We had lunch at some little hole in the wall place on the water.  It was yummy.  The weather was a little cold but still nice.  And fun to see him since our family got along so well with Karlsson.

Hiking To Marble Falls

On Saturday the Panama Ward young men and young women, plus a few extras were able to get up at 6am and travel to Sequoia National Forest to go hiking.  Here is a picture of us on our way up the 4mile trail to the falls.  Notice that everyone still looks good.
It took us a little less than 2 hours to make it up to the falls.  Once we got there we were starving so we all settled on this huge marble rock to eat our lunches.
After we all finished our lunches Bishop took a group who was willing to climb some rocks up to the top of the waterfall.  It a lot of rocks but once we got to the top it was totally worth it.  Here is a picture of the group about half way up to the top of the falls.
YAY!!! I made it to the top! (with only one little slip up).  I was almost to the top when I lost my footing on one of the rocks and slammed my knee into another rock.  It hurt a little then bit is killing me today.  But oh well the view was worth it and I heal fast.
It was probably the best hike I have been on.  I had so much fun. Life is an accomplishment.
Bishop and Lokio thought that making bunny ears was fun.
Kaitlyn was quite adventurous on our hike.  Here she is trying not to slip of a wet rock into the freezing water.  She is pretty amazing, I would have slipped for sure.
I was so proud of my brother, we both made it to the top!
The falls are massive and beautiful.
When we started back down the mountain it started to rain, nothing awful but still wet.  As the trek down the mountain continued the rain went from a sprinkle to a full out downpour.  It was more like we slid down the mountain with all the mud.  We became absolutely soaked to the bone by the time we made it back to the bottom of the mountain.   Here we are at the bottom.  I have already taken off my top layer since my undershirt was semi dry and I have a towel on my head because I was in the middle of trying to dry off.  It was an amazing day a it really made me realize how beautiful nature is.  On our way down the mountain I was trying not to think of the negatives of being so wet and it came to me that climbing that mountain is a lot like life.  We may have a little difficulty but life isn't always easy sometimes we get caught in the rain.  But just as we did yesterday on the hike we should do in life.  Laugh!  There was nothing we could do about being wet.  It made the trip even more memorable.

Graduation

So I am finally graduated from high school. I got my diploma. And thankfully they got all three of my names right at the actual graduation. And I successfully walked the entire length of the football field in heals without tripping or sinking into the grass!
Elizabeth, me, Tyler and Lacey. Through thick and thin we have been friends.
We have been friends for so long. The three amigos since grade school.
Best friends.

And after graduation dad took us all out for ice cream at Cold Stone. It was the perfect ending to a very long day and HOT day.

18th Birthday

On May 18th I turned 18! The day was great. I was given an amazing watch from my parents. It has a ton of bling!!! After school I went and got fingerprinted for my work and then I bought my first Lottery ticket (but they didn't even card me). I got to have Champs for dinner which alone makes the day amazing. Dad got to bring his new car home from work so he could have cake with us. And we thought it would be kinda fun if I got "arrested" for my birthday.
We had Cold Stone cupcakes which are super yummy and what we call "Better Than Sex Cake" (but thats just what me and girlfriends call it), its actually called Trifle Cake.
It was so nice to spend the day relaxing and spending the day with my wonderful friends and family. I cannot believe that I am an adult!

Birthday Beach Weekend

My Birthday is not until the 18th but my mom treated me and my best girlfriends to a weekend at the beach. On Friday we had dinner in Pismo and then we drove to SLO for the best frozen yogurt. Saturday we all shopped around SLO and had more frozen yogurt...yum! Then we went to Avila to get some sunshine. We only layed out for about 2 hours, but me being the pale girl that I am, got an aweful sunburn (I look a little like a lobster...haha). We seemed to eat our way through the weekend but it was great.
I love the boys bathroom at the Madonna Inn. I mean peeing into a waterfall, awesome. LOL its great.
The Avila Apple Shed is so fun. All the animals and fresh fruit and veggies! Here we are sitting on some hay out front.
I love the water and the beach. This is me waiting for my tacos on the pier.
There is now a part of me in SLO.
Eww. The gum wall is really gross but totally cool at the same time.
After a day of way to much sun, lots of food, and so much fun. I love my girlfriends.
